On March 25, 2020, the CSU MP Georg Nüßlein spoke a few words of unctuousness in the Bundestag. On that day, parliament passed laws to protect the population and relieve hospitals in times of the pandemic. “We have assumed a joint state political responsibility,” said Nüßlein. Pictures like those from Italian hospitals, in which dramatic scenes had taken place, should not be repeated in Germany. The German clinics would have to be armed. “None of this must fail because of the money,” explained Nüßlein, who was then vice-chief of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group.
