For Marine Le Pen, Emmanuel Macron will use “the D-Day commemorations to campaign”
The president of the National Rally (RN) group in the National Assembly, Marine Le Pen, was the guest this morning on “4 Truths” on France 2, to defend the list carried by Jordan Bardella. “From the moment the Prime Minister enters the campaign as he did, to the point of snatching the microphone from his candidate to speak in her place, I am sorry, but he takes responsibility”repeated Marine Le Pen about Gabriel Attal, estimating that if the list of the presidential camp does not win the election, he will have to leave Matignon. “It is the same for the President of the Republic, if he uses the D-Day ceremonies to actually campaign for the European elections”, judged the MP again, calling again on Mr. Macron to dissolve the National Assembly in the event of a glaring failure for his camp on the evening of June 9. A scenario that the executive brushes aside, arguing that the European elections are not legislative elections.
Asked about the road called “rue du Brexit” in Beaucaire, a town managed by the mayor RN Julien Sanchez, Mme Le Pen dodged the question, responding: “It is respect for democracy, because whatever the people decide, they are right when they decide. » As for the pro-Kremlin positions of RN MEP Thierry Mariani, Marine Le Pen said it was her and Jordan Bardella “who determines[aient]again, the line d[u] movement and votes of [ses] respective groups (…). She finally tried to minimize the outcry caused by the party’s poster for the European elections crossed out with the words “I am a gendarme, I vote Bardella”.
