Since Monday, anyone arriving on French soil from the United Kingdom must self-isolate for a period of seven days. The entry of Great Britain in the list of countries affected by this compulsory isolation was announced last Wednesday by government spokesman Gabriel Attal. According to the spokesperson “compelling reasons will be required for non-resident foreign nationals joining France from the United Kingdom”. No systematic control
Small difference compared to the 16 other countries whose travelers are required to observe a mandatory quarantine, “the home control system” will not be systematically applied to travelers arriving from Great Britain for the moment, “given the low incidence of Covid ”there now.
Indeed, for other territories, the police can unexpectedly check the presence of travelers at their place of quarantine and impose a fine of 1,000 to 1,500 euros in the event of their absence.
