Man convicted of abuse of weakness with 93-year-old woman

A Nîmes was sentenced to one year in prison, half of which suspended, for abuse of weakness with a 93-year-old woman, reports
Midi-Free. He had asked that she give him 800 euros in April, accompanying him himself to withdraw the money in the post. The young man defends the idea of a breach of trust, swearing that he considers the nonagenarian as “his own grandmother”, while acknowledging having accompanied him to withdraw the money.

The accused’s lawyer also defends this version, recalling in particular that a third person was present at the post office, and pleads for the release, deeming the charges insufficient. Not enough to change the judge’s verdict, which further indicates that the defendant is also indicted in a case of attempted murder in Béziers.
