Lower Bavaria: Dog bites cyclists in the leg and policemen in the buttocks – Bavaria

A dog first bit a cyclist and later a police officer in the Lower Bavarian district of Passau. According to the police on Wednesday, two cases of negligent bodily harm are being investigated against the dog owner. The Collie-St. Bernard mix had bitten a 22-year-old cyclist in the thigh on Easter Monday in Beutelsbach. Only through the intervention of a witness did the dog let go of the young man. The dog owner apologized and exchanged personal details with the injured person.

The man then sought medical treatment and reported the incident to the police. When officers approached the dog owner that same day, the mongrel jumped over a fence and bit one of the officers in the buttocks. The officer suffered a bleeding wound and went to a hospital for an examination. The responsible authorities had been informed of the incident, the police said.
