Their love will be undermined when the sovereign gives a superb diamond necklace, the “ferrets” in the classic d‘Alexandre Dumas, to her lover and that she finds herself very annoyed when her suspicious husband demands that she wear them during a reception. “I didn’t want to represent her as a weak woman who cries all the time,” says Vicky Krieps. I see her as a messenger of love who can love several people at the same time. The actress admits having been impressed when she appeared dressed as a queen. “In life, I see myself more as a peasant, she admits, but there, the perfection of the dresses blew me away.
