Lotto: The principle of the game
Before the lottery draw, players mark six numbers, with 49 to choose from. In the past, the most common numbers drawn were six, 49 and 32. If the numbers selected match the numbers on the selected lottery balls, the super number, the last number on the ticket, must also be correct in order to win the jackpot. The prize is paid out when two correct lottery numbers plus the super number are selected, and the prize is divided into nine prize categories.
Stakes and odds
For each box on the ticket, a stake of one euro is charged, plus a processing fee. In addition to the classic “6aus49” game, players can also take part in the additional lotteries “Spiel 77” and “Super 6”. Fees of 2.50 euros and 1.25 euros respectively are payable here.
With jackpots worth millions, it can be worth taking part in the game – but you also need a good dose of luck. The chance of winning prize category 1 (six correct numbers plus the super number) and thus the jackpot is 1:139,838,160.
How to follow the drawing of the lottery numbers
The TV broadcast of the lottery draw has been discontinued. However, anyone who is curious can watch the draw online at “lotto.de” The stream starts every Wednesday at 6:25 p.m. and every Saturday at 7:25 p.m.
