Just a few days ago, Liz Sheridan celebrated her last birthday. The US actress passed away on Friday at her home in New York at the age of 93. This is reported, among other things, by the TV station CNN on his news portal, citing Sheridan’s manager Amanda Hendon. No information was given about the exact circumstances. Sheridan leaves behind a daughter and a son-in-law.

Sheridan became known in Germany primarily for her role as the unconventional neighbor Raquel Ochmonek in the cult series “Alf” in the 80s. Her character was characterized by curiosity and crazy actions that made her known throughout the neighborhood.

In the comedy series “Seinfeld” she also embodied the caring mother of comedian and main character Jerry Seinfeld, 67. She was seen in the role in all new seasons. On Twitter, Seinfeld says goodbye to his former serial mother with touching words.

“Liz has always been the sweetest and kindest TV mom a son could ask for. Every time she came to our show it was the coziest feeling for me. So lucky to have known her,” wrote the 67- year olds.

Sheridan began her career as a nightclub dancer in the 1950s. In 1951 she met the then unknown James Dean (1931-1955) and started a love affair with him. In 2000 she wrote about it the book “Dizzy & Jimmy: My Life With James Dean: A Love Story”.
