In an interview given to JDD, Sébastien Lecornu, Minister for the Armed Forces, returned to the French aid provided to Ukraine in the context of the conflict between it and Russia.
“We don’t have to be ashamed of our aid to Ukraine!” he declared.
“We are one of the biggest contributors with 550 million euros out of a total of 3 billion euros. So we also pay for what the others give”, he added, specifying that the Russians will now favor “strikes, in particular on civil energy installations”.
