6:01 p.m

Tire damage was to blame for the accident!

The tire damage was the trigger, not the result of the accident. Kevin Estre explains that the tire exploded during the braking phase. He was slightly to the right in the grass at the entrance to the Döttingerhöhe when he attacked Indy Dontje in the #20 WTM Ferrari (Weiss/Krumbach/Keilwitz/Dontje). It’s not clear if that was the trigger.

The investigation into overtaking under yellow has no consequences, it was decided on “no further action”. But that doesn’t help “Grello” anymore. The vehicle has been in the garage for minutes, the repair will take longer.

It is the second time at the same place that the Manthey Porsche has taken off. Last year there was the fraternal collision between Laurens and Dries Vanthoor.
