A 22-year-old young woman was stabbed to death last night around 9 p.m. in the Plan de Campagne sector. The victim had just left work and was about to take a bus home when she was assaulted.
Stabbed several times, particularly in the heart, she succumbed to her injuries despite the intervention of mobile gendarmes, in transit in the area, who saw the body and tried to revive the young woman.
While the soldiers were providing first aid, a young man caught their attention. Carrying a knife and wounded in the hand, he was immediately arrested and placed in police custody.
A murder investigation was opened and entrusted to police officers from the Bouches-du-Rhône Departmental Security.
