At the Trooping the Colour parade, Princess Kate celebrated her acclaimed return to the public eye. But her children also made headlines.

London – The year 2024 has not been a walk in the park for the British royal family so far: The cancer cases of King Charles III. (75) and his daughter-in-law Princess Kate (42) caused never-ending rumors. These were finally dispelled on Saturday afternoon (15 June) when they celebrated the traditional “Trooping the Colour” parade together in honor of the British monarch.

“Trooping the Colour” parade: Princess Kate’s return will delight even the children

But although the military parade is officially meant to celebrate the King’s (or Queen’s) birthday, all eyes were on Kate, who finally made a public appearance again after months of absence due to illness. King Charles, who – weakened by the effects of his cancer – was unable to take part in the ceremony on horseback this time, was apparently only too happy to leave the field to future generations.

They knew how to inspire: Little Prince Louis (5) amused the royal fans with his wonderfully uninhibited manner and his older brother, heir to the throne Prince George (10), also made hearts melt. As the first child of Prince William (41) and Kate, the 10-year-old already bears a very special responsibility despite his young age – after all, he is to one day succeed William. And so he too was in the spotlight.

Revealed: This is what Prince George said to Princess Kate during the carriage ride

During the carriage ride with his two siblings and Princess Kate, attentive spectators saw George whispering something to his mother as they drove past the enthusiastic crowd. The eldest grandson of King Charles also probably noticed the good mood: “They all look so happy,” he said happily to his mother, explains lip reader Juliet Sullivan via DailyMail on.

The fact that even the children did not fail to notice how happy they were to finally see a weakened but still radiant Kate again is testament to the deep connection many Britons still have with the royal family. But even there, as we know, things are not always rosy: The falling out with Prince Harry (39) and Meghan Markle (42) was a “missed opportunity,” said one expert after Kate’s return.
