Line up after anti-Semitism allegations – off for scandal presenter at WDR – politics

Years ago she took part in an anti-Semitic hate march and this summer also expressed sympathy for anti-Semitic positions and terrorists. Nemi El-Hassan (28) celebrated with a “Like”, among other things, the prison break of a man who was involved in the kidnapping and murder of an 18-year-old Israeli.

BILD got the case rolling, now the WDR has drawn the line: The broadcaster has finally decided against working with the journalist.

The public broadcaster announced in Cologne on Tuesday. Nemi El-Hassan had previously published a guest article in the “Berliner Zeitung” in which she criticized the WDR for dealing with her in the past few weeks. The reason given by the broadcaster was: “There is no longer any trust for future cooperation.”

Originally, the journalist was supposed to moderate the science program “Quarks”. The start was scheduled for November. BILD then reported on their participation in the anti-Semitic Al-Kuds demonstration in Berlin a few years ago in the context of El-Hassan’s new task.

In addition, as recently as September 2021, El-Hassan had “Like” posts on social networks that spread anti-Semitism and hatred of Israel.

The WDR had decided against a presentation of El-Hassan in the science program. The ARD institute then checked whether it could possibly work behind the camera as an author for “Quarks”.
