“GNTM” candidate Lieselotte resisted the nude shoot. Now she explains that this was “a red line” for her.

Candidate Lieselotte (66) surprised the “Germany’s next top model” fans in the current episode on Thursday evening: the tough 66-year-old resisted the nude shoot. “Nudity is nobody’s business, just my own,” Lieselotte explained her decision in the model show. “I would never have thought in life that the loose Lieselotte in particular would have a problem with nudity,” said Heidi Klum – and actually managed to convince Lieselotte. The 66-year-old Berliner stayed on the show and even made it one more round.

Now Lieselotte in an interview with the “Bild” newspaper looking back at the nude shoot. “For me, presenting myself naked in public is a red line that I don’t want to cross,” she says. “I have neither financial interests nor vanity interests in doing this. Even as a young woman, I primarily wanted to be perceived as a person with character and to be a role model. I want to be taken seriously.”

“Strong words” by Heidi Klum convinced Lieselotte

Lieselotte does not define herself “by my body and generally not too much by externals”. It is more important to her what she says. What finally convinced the Best Agerin to drop the covers were Heidi Klum’s “strong words”. “It was trust in the level of the show and a common message that Heidi and I felt: Lieselotte has to persevere and be and become a role model, that older women should believe in themselves,” explains the 66-year-old.

Apparently she’s happy to have decided on the nude shoot: “Since the picture was an acceptable result, I’m at peace with myself. I look like a bronze figure and it’s sporty.” Lieselotte is “glad” to have jumped over her own shadow. Now she’s proud to show it on Instagram: For the photo of the shoot, she wrote: “The ‘old’ Lieselotte jumped over her shadow.”

What happened at the nude shoot?

In the show, the models had to pose naked, just spray-painted with gold paint, as the living hands of a clock. “That’s a point where I say: as much as I love my Heidi, but that really doesn’t have to be the case,” Lieselotte explained. She then went to Heidi Klum to tell her this decision. “Heidi, can I hug you goodbye?” she asked.

“Lieselotte, you fought so hard, you don’t want to go home now,” Klum countered. Lieselotte should then climb into the watch frame to try out the poses for the shoot – Klum showed her how to cover a lot naked. “She found the tone to just get me,” Lieselotte said afterwards.

“Fortunately, I was still able to encourage her to take part in the shoot,” said Heidi Klum with relief. “It would be a real shame if she left me because of that, because a nude shoot is nothing to be ashamed of.” She always makes sure that “my models feel comfortable and always look aesthetic”.
