LED lights for Oberschleißheim – District of Munich

In the next two years, the street lighting in Oberschleißheim is to be completely converted to LED lights. According to an analysis, around 1200 luminaires would have to be reloaded. The town hall expects this to cost around 670,000 euros, of which around 170,000 euros will be covered by a state funding program. The LED lights are then “highly efficient and resource-saving”, advertised the municipal building authority for the project. Annual electricity savings of almost 75 percent are forecast, around 210,000 kilowatt hours per year. In addition, optically “a uniform townscape will be created”. The measure was decided unanimously by the local council.
