LCI will offer two debates for the ecological primary in September

“After the municipal debate in Paris [en 2020] and the three debates it organized during the last regional [dans les Hauts-de-France, l’Ile-de-France et PACA], LCI will be the only channel to offer two debates on the occasion of the primary of environmentalists for the 2022 presidential election and the only one to organize the debate of the second round, ”the channel said in a statement.

Presented by Ruth Elkrief, they will be organized in partnership with the daily Le Figaro and with the participation of the online media Loopsider.

The first, scheduled for September 8 at 8:45 p.m., will bring together the four candidates for the ecological nomination for the presidential election of 2022, namely the deputy Delphine Batho, the MEP Yannick Jadot, the mayor of Grenoble Éric Piolle and the former number 2 of EELV Sandrine Rousseau. The second meeting, September 22 at 8:45 p.m., will oppose the two finalists.

The first round of this primary organized by five environmental groups (EELV, Générations, Mouvement des progressistes, Génération écologie and the Independent Ecologist Alliance) will take place from September 16 to 19, and the second from September 25 to 28.
