Lavrov: Russia does not see itself at war with NATO

According to Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Russia does not see itself at war with the Nato. Rather, believe NATO, with Russia being at war, Lavrov said in an interview with the Arabic-language channel Al-Arabiya, according to the Russian agencies Ria and Tass. Furthermore, Russia is not threatening nuclear weapons, Western media exaggerated on this subject. “We’re not “playing” with a nuclear war,” Lavrov said.

Lavrov had previously warned of the real danger of a Third World War. At the end of February, Russia had put deterrent weapons on alert, which was understood worldwide as a threat to the nuclear arsenal.

Western weapons are said to be the target of the “special operation”.

According to the agencies, Lavrov repeated in the interview published on Friday that the official Russian side so-called “special operation” ends when all goals have been achieved. This is to protect the civilian population in eastern Ukraine and to ensure “that there are no threats from the territory of the Ukraine for this population and for Russia. That’s all”.

In the eastern Ukrainian regions of Donetsk and Luhansk, pro-Russian separatists had proclaimed people’s republics, which Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin recognized as independent shortly before the start of the war in Ukraine.
