The Taliban rape and kill. They oppress women, girls and boys. They despise and disregard basic and human rights. Nobody in their right mind would think of comparing climate activists to these terrorists. And yet the CSU member of parliament Florian Hahn did exactly that: He equated the climate protectionists of the so-called last generation with the Afghan oppressors. They are “not a whit better” compared to the murderers and rapists in the Hindu Kush. This is what the defense policy spokesman for the Union faction in the German Bundestag writes and thinks.
