Landlords tremble because of 2G-plus – Bavaria

Does the 2-G-plus rule come in Bavaria’s inns, i.e. access only for vaccinated and convalescent people with a current test? This was decided by the Conference of Prime Ministers (MPK) at the end of last week, but Bavaria is skeptical and may skip this. Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) said that the MPK had submitted a different “protocol note” to this. Health Minister Klaus Holetschek (CSU) should check whether this really makes sense. In Bavaria – unlike in parts of Germany – discos and pubs have already been closed due to a “hard cut”, the question arises as to whether 2G-plus is “really necessary” in restaurants, for example. More should then be discussed in the cabinet next Tuesday. The Bavarian Hotel and Restaurant Association Dehoga, which had previously warned against “panic actionism”, was grateful for Söder’s skepticism: 2-G-plus plunges businesses “into existential need with no added value for the infection process” – and that in an area with many hygiene rules, it said, “which is demonstrably not a driver of infection”. That is “neither comprehensible nor proportionate”.
