Queen’s granddaughter Lady Louise works in a garden center before following in William and Kate’s footsteps and studying in Scotland.

After graduating from high school, Queen’s granddaughter Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor (18) goes to Scotland to study. Like her cousin, Prince William (40), and his current wife, Duchess Kate (40), she will also study at the renowned St. Andrews University north of Edinburgh – the two met there and fell in love.

As Buckingham Palace further announced, the daughter of Prince Edward (58) and Sophie von Wessex (57) chose English as a subject.

Garden center job

Before she started her studies, Lady Louise got a taste of the world of work. As “Mail Online” reports, she has been working in a garden center several days a week since graduating from high school in June. She sits at the cash register, greets customers and takes care of the plants. For this, the royal gets a minimum wage of 6.63 pounds per hour, which is the equivalent of 7.83 euros.

The young woman, who has previously lived with her family in a £30million estate in Bagshot Park, Surrey, gets a lot of credit for that. The editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine comments: “Isn’t it wonderful that the Queen’s granddaughter rolled up her sleeves and got her hands dirty with a summer job before going to university like any other normal teenager.”
