Crypto exchange KuCoin has confirmed that the wallet address allegedly involved in the thousands of memecoin scam belongs to one user. However, the exchange will not freeze users’ assets without official notification from the enforcement authorities. law

On April 26, a Twitter user found a wallet address where 2-5 memecoins a day have been launched for two years. Another community member pointed out that the wallet address “belongs to KuCoin.” Etherscan has now marked the address as a fake phishing wallet.

KuCoin verifies that the wallet address belongs to one of its users. According to Johnny Lyu of KuCoin, even if the address belongs to a particular user of the platform. but will not suspend the account until notified by the relevant authorities.
