Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian got engaged: why their relationship is causing a sensation
In a sea of roses on the beach in California, Travis Barker has asked for Kourtney Kardashian’s hand. The two have been causing a stir for months.
“Forever,” Kourtney Kardashian wrote on Instagram about two pictures of their romantic engagement. Her soon-to-be husband, Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, also comments on the post with “Forever”.

If you have followed the relationship between the two over the past few months, the marriage proposal comes as about as surprising as a stomachache after too much Christmas chocolate. The reality star and musician have been posting cheesy love vows on Instagram for months.
Just a week ago he wrote about a video of the two in Disneyland (with a skull in the background): “I want your skull”, to which she replied, “I need your skull”. For those who want it a little clearer: In April he linked Kardashian in a post and wrote: “All I dream of is sex with you.”
Vows of love on Instagram
Kardashian and Barker celebrate their affection not only on Instagram photos. Paparazzi, too, keep catching their wild smooching. Whether strolling through the city in Italy, New York, or on a yacht on vacation – the two cannot keep their hands off each other.
Although they have known each other for a number of years, it wasn’t until this year that they made their relationship public. In February, she posted a picture of both of her hands. Thanks to his tattoos, it was easy to see that the man’s hand was Barker’s. In the meantime, the drummer has her name tattooed on his body.
He overcomes trauma
But the love not only brought a lot of content for the photo platform, but also an important, personal breakthrough for Barker. Because Kardashian helped him overcome his fear of flying. In August he boarded a plane with her for the first time in 13 years. In 2008, the now 45-year-old was involved in a plane crash in which four people were killed. He survived with third degree burns, his colleague and friend DJ Am also survived, but died a year later from an overdose. He was reportedly severely traumatized.
It was all the more overwhelming for Barker that he was able to overcome his fear. “Anything is possible with you,” he wrote about a photo of himself and Kourtney in front of the private jet. “Everything with you,” she replied.
