If one were to say to the friend who has been familiar for decades, recently disappeared (torn down), then reappeared (newly built): My dear, you don’t look good; But the fact that your skull was split open with an ax gives you something unique despite all the pain. And that Unique is the gold standard of contemporary architecture. There are architectures that want to be looked at and loved. And there are houses that just want to be stared at, admired and photographed. One is building culture, the other is real estate marketing, USP culture and selfie fashion.
