Knife fight in Munich: suspect caught in Zurich – Munich

After a stabbing on Munich’s Sonnenstraße and a week-long search, a 20-year-old suspect was arrested in Zurich on Saturday; he is to be extradited to Germany. During the argument on the afternoon of March 17, a 23-year-old man suffered a stab wound, and the 20-year-old then fled with the e-scooter.

The murder commission is currently investigating what triggered the argument between the two men, who, according to the police, did not know each other beforehand, and what exactly happened then. The 23-year-old, who was picked up by police officers near the scene of the crime with stab wounds, has now been able to leave the hospital.

Another altercation involving piercing tools took place nearby on Monday afternoon. A 41-year-old man from Munich and a 26-year-old without a permanent address clashed at Sendlinger-Tor-Platz. According to the police, when the younger man threatened the older man with a syringe, he threw a beer bottle at the 26-year-old, injuring his head, and also threatened him with a cutter knife.
