Knife fight between rockers: Ten arrests

The emergency call came in shortly before 10 p.m.: Two groups of bikers had clashed at a gas station on Karbacher Strasse. Several people were injured.

Two rockers seriously injured with knife

The argument between the 40 or so rockers quickly escalated, fists flew and knives were drawn. Several people were injured, two suffered serious stab wounds and were flown to a hospital by rescue helicopter.

Large-scale manhunt with roadside checks

A large police force is searching for the bikers. 30 police vehicles from the Lower Franconian police were deployed, supported by forces from Baden-Württemberg. Officers set up road checkpoints.

Ten suspects arrested, apartments searched

So far, the police have identified and arrested ten suspects. The men are between 25 and 63 years old. The police used search warrants issued by the Würzburg public prosecutor’s office to find and confiscate, among other things, cutting and stabbing weapons, firearms, protective clothing, mobile phones and narcotics in the men’s homes. The suspects are to be brought before the investigating judge on Monday.

Attempted manslaughter and breach of the peace

Investigations are underway for attempted manslaughter and serious breach of the peace, among other things. It is still unclear which rival biker gangs clashed in Marktheidenfeld. According to as yet unconfirmed information, those involved were members and supporters of the biker gangs “Bandidos” and “Outlaws”.
