A 66-year-old was fatally injured while loading wood in the Kirchenlamitz district. The man is said to have been busy loading his tractor alone with his tractor early on Friday evening in a forest near Großschloppen. While he was loading wood from a trailer with a crane, he was caught and trapped by the load for unknown reasons, the police said. A witness discovered him shortly after 7.30 p.m. and immediately notified the rescue workers.
However, any help came too late for the 66-year-old. The emergency doctor could only determine the death of the man. The police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
