E-reader with writing function
The Kindle Scribe is Amazon’s largest e-reader to date and comes with a stylus for notes for the first time. The writing function and premium features come at a price, but the new Kindle is priced better than Remarkable’s competition.

The Internet giant is attacking the Remarkable 2 tablet launched in 2020, which became known for its e-ink writing function. However, that already costs 349 euros without a sylus or 428 euros with the standard stylus.
The stylus sticks magnetically to the side and is used to create notes in books, to-do lists or even diary entries. Notes and highlights are automatically managed in one place to keep pages clutter-free, the press release says. the Notebooks are stored in the cloud for free and should also be accessible via the Kindle app on other devices from early 2023.
The E Ink display measures diagonally 10.2 inches, which is far more than the seven-inch Kindle Oasis. As with everyone current Kindle models the pixel density is 300 pixels per inch. That Front light consists of 32 LEDs, which also represents a new high among Amazon’s e-readers. There is also a completely flat front, an adjustable color temperature, automatic page orientation and a light sensor. Only an IPX8 certification for protection against water and buttons for changing sides does not offer the Scrible.
Larger display and USB-C port
The new model is charged via USB-C with a maximum of nine watts. The manufacturer states the battery life up to twelve weeks of reading time and up to three weeks for writing. A charging cable is included in the scope of delivery, but a power supply unit is not. The device weighs 433 grams and measures 196 × 229 × 5.8 millimeters. Depending on the version, the input pens weigh between 14.2 and 15.1 grams and five replacement tips are included in the box.
