Kimmich talks about his saddest interview! His sentences touched us all Sports

Joshua Kimmich (27) can finally laugh again!

Shaken by Germany’s embarrassing first-round elimination, the Bayern star worried his fans after the World Cup when he said: “This is the worst day of my career. I’m afraid I’ll fall into a hole.”

Six weeks after the painful Qatar knockout, Kimmich already seems motivated and focused again in Bayern’s Qatar training camp.

The midfield ace explains: “The statements immediately after the game were very emotional, because it really affects me. You can’t just tick that off. Nevertheless, the motivation to be back at the club is huge again. I didn’t fall into a hole.”

But how was Kimmichs, who was so bruised, able to recover so quickly from the World Cup trauma? “It is also partly due to my three children. It’s difficult to fall into a hole with them, because you have other tasks,” says family man Kimmich.

At the 2018 World Cup in Russia, when he didn’t have children yet, Kimmich found it much more difficult to deal with the defeat: “I didn’t have that much distraction, I had a lot of time to think on vacation. You do that now too, but not as much anymore because of the tasks at home.”

Thanks to his family, Bayern’s number 6 is already hot for the second half of the season and even reveals a personal resolution.

Kimmich: “The first half of the season was one of my most stable half-years. For the second half of the season, I intend to improve even further in terms of scoring.”
