Kenneth Tsang has died. The actor rose to international fame with roles in James Bond and Rush Hour 2.

Kenneth Tsang has died. The actor became according to “Variety” was found dead in his Hong Kong hotel room on Wednesday. There he is said to have spent his quarantine after a trip to Singapore. An exact cause of death was not given. “Kenneth was not only a wonderfully gifted actor, but also a dear friend who I respected and who I could turn to when I needed him,” his manager told the US industry magazine. “It was a pleasure and an honor to watch him work bringing the many characters to life. I am saddened and will miss him.”

Tsang was born in Shanghai, grew up in Hong Kong and studied architecture at UC Berkley in California. He made his acting debut in the mid-1950s and first made a name for himself with kung fu films. He later became internationally known with roles in “The Substitute Killers”, “Rush Hour 2”, “James Bond 007 – Die Another Day” and “The Geisha”. Tsang has also worked as a director. According to “Variety” and “South China Morning Post” the actor was 87 years old.
