Will Hugh Jackman have competition? Hollywood star Keanu Reeves has revealed that he “always wanted to play Wolverine”.

Keanu Reeves (58) has on Reddit answered questions from the community as part of an “Ask Me Anything” (AMA). The Hollywood star, who is currently promoting his current film “John Wick: Chapter 4”, was asked, among other things, if he ever regretted turning down a role. The actor explained, “No, but I’ve always wanted to play Wolverine.”

What does the Australian actor Hugh Jackman (54) say about it? He first took on the role of Marvel Comics character Wolverine in the 2000 film X-Men. Eight more superhero strips followed. The last time fans saw Jackman as Wolverine was in 2017’s “Logan: The Wolverine.” And the actor will reprise his role in the upcoming movie Deadpool 3, starring Ryan Reynolds (46) in the title role, directed by Shawn Levy (54). Last year, Reynolds revealed that Deadpool 3 will hit theaters in September 2024.

“John Wick: Chapter 4” starts on March 23

Keanu Reeves, meanwhile, returns to cinema screens in John Wick: Chapter 4 on March 23. He discovers a way to defeat the High Chamber. But before he can earn his freedom, Wick must face off against a new enemy who has powerful alliances and the power to turn old friends into foes. His fight takes him around the world – from New York to Paris and Osaka to Berlin.
