Justice seized after the discovery of neo-Nazi stickers stuck in the city

Thursday, Pascal Mailhos, prefect of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Rhône region, indicated, through a tweet, that he had seized the public prosecutor after the discovery of neo-Nazi stickers pasted near the History Center of resistance and deportation, in the 7th arrondissement of Lyon. Information revealed earlier in the week by Lyon Mag.

On these stickers, a photo of Klaus Barbie, this German war criminal, SS police officer under the Nazi regime and head of the Gestapo in Lyon between 1943 and 1944, is juxtaposed next to the coat of arms of the city of Lyon and that a skull, the insignia of the SS-Totenkopfverbände, responsible for the management of the concentration camps during the war. There is also a black sun, symbol of the ultra-right and a sentence, “We are Lyon”, but no signature or claims of the authors of the sticker and the gesture.

Fanny Dubot, mayor of the 7th arrondissement, said on Twitter that these “nauseating” stickers were going to “be removed by the city services”.
