Two wins and a place in the knockout phase are not enough for the national coach. Julian Nagelsmann wants to win first place against Switzerland. Then there might not be a “big opponent” in the round of 16.

Gündoğan agrees with Julian Nagelsmann
As first in Group A, they might not get “the big challenge” in the round of 16, which will take place on June 29 in Dortmund. Their opponents would then be the second-placed team in Group C, which includes top favorites England, Serbia, Denmark and Slovenia. Captain Ilkay Gündoğan also declared first place to be their goal. “We want to be first. To do that, we need a win against Switzerland,” said the 33-year-old, who scored the 2-0 goal against Hungary.
