Julia Stoschek Foundation establishes Advisory Board – Culture

The Düsseldorf collector Julia Stoschek has set up an advisory board to appoint five prominent curators and artists. Among them is Andrea Lissoni, the artistic director of the Munich House of Art. According to a press release, the future of the Julia Stoschek Foundation should be “secured with a view to the future”. The collection, which was founded in 2007 and has two exhibition houses in Düsseldorf and Berlin, is one of the world’s most extensive collections that specialize in so-called time-based art, i.e. above all media art and performance. In addition to the former Berlin museum director Udo Kittelmann and the curator Chrissie Iles from the Whitney Museum in New York, the American artist Arthur Jafa and the Morocco-born artist Meriem Bennani are also represented on the committee.
