US actor Jonah Hill has asked on Instagram that people stop commenting on his appearance. He knows that most of them do not mean badly – such statements are nevertheless “not helpful”.

US actor Jonah Hill has built a large fan base on Instagram in recent years. The star actor from films such as “Superbad” and “The Wolf of Wall Street” are now followed by more than three million people on the social network. Hill now has a serious message for his followers: He no longer wants his body and appearance to be commented on without being asked.

Jonah Hill wrote in his post on Instagram that people should keep their thoughts about his appearance to themselves: “I know you mean well, but I kindly ask you not to comment on my body,” wrote the 37-year-old and asks for respect for his decision.

Whether the comments are positive or negative does not matter to the US actor: The request relates to both compliments and criticism, according to Hill. “I want to politely let you know that this is not helpful and does not feel good.” In the last few months, the US media had increasingly reported on Hill’s external changes and in some cases also worked with before-and-after photos.

The actor’s message received many likes, and fellow actors like Daniel Franzese, Aidy Bryant and Hill’s sister Beanie Feldstein expressed their encouragement in the comments. Many fans also joined in and agreed: “There must be limits on the Internet too.” One user also wrote: “I can’t believe that you still have to point it out.”
