Joko Winterscheidt and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf used the airtime they had gained for a test and pulled the plug on ProSieben.

Joko Winterscheidt (43) and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf (39) won 15 minutes of airtime on Tuesday (November 8) on “Joko & Klaas versus ProSieben”. While the two moderators last time used their minutes to point out the protests in Iran, this Wednesday it was fun again. Because the two had planned something special: test the emergency plan at ProSieben.

ProSieben emergency plan

At the beginning, Winterscheidt and Heufer-Umlauf emphasized that they were really connected live. But what actually happens when the transmission breaks down? This is exactly what the two moderators wanted to find out. That’s why the duo had previously called Daniel Rosemann (42), the head of the ProSieben station. The two wanted to find out what the emergency plan would look like in the event of a disruption.

There is an emergency program that will be played automatically in an emergency, Rosemann explained to the two. Winterscheidt and Heufer-Umlauf remembered that they had prepared an emergency tape for such a case – but years ago. In the next moment, the two were already standing in the ProSieben broadcast center, where all employees wore masks to protect their identities. The moderators obviously had fun and pressed a few buttons – the picture on the television at home was already rotating.

Finally, the two of them went to the technical room, because Winterscheidt and Heufer-Umlauf wanted to get to the “heart”, where all the live signals converge. As soon as we arrived, the wild pulling out of the cable started. The colleague who was with them visibly worked up a sweat. “All we want is for the emergency tape to run,” assured Heufer-Umlauf. They then stood in front of the right device and only had one thing to do – pull the plug. “Do you want to say something else?” Heufer-Umlauf turned to his colleague Winterscheidt. “We Love to Entertain You,” he replied, laughing.

Heufer-Umlauf already pulled the plug and shortly afterwards the screen went black. “Disturbance. We’ll continue soon” was to be read. But it wasn’t long before the emergency tape actually took over. It was an old parody from “Circus HalliGalli” times – in it the two perform the song “Jožin z bažin”.. The whole thing runs twice until “TV Total” started as planned, this time with Michael Bully Herbig (54) replacing Sebastian Pufpaff (46). ProSieben’s emergency plan seems to be working.

ProSieben also spoke up: “Yes, it worked, Joko and Klaas. Satisfied? Test passed?” it says on Twitter.
