In the new Netflix documentary “Running with the Devil: The Wild World of John McAfee,” the filmmakers explore the tumultuous life and mysterious death of John McAfee, including ex-girlfriend Samantha Herrera, who claims he has a Live and live in Texas
The documentary, which premieres on August 24, is directed by Bafta award-winning director Charlie Russell, reveals the troubled life of McAfee.
In an interview with Esquire Russell said he started a conversation with McAfee about a potential documentary after he fled from tax evasion. Russell said he texted McAfee and after providing his credentials and talking to him. and was invited to join the filming with him
According to the report of New York Post indicate McAfee having a heart attackIn 2012, he later broke up with Herrera, where she told interviewers she was 18 at the time and later married Janice Dyson.
McAfee’s widow Janice McAfee tweeted to her late husband: “I hope this will be true if McAfee is alive. I’m pretty sure he’s not hiding in Texas.”
“Texas is scary,” she later explained, “but McAfee was held in a Spanish prison for alleged tax evasion. So I was wondering why he would choose to hide in America. It’s stupid.”
McAfee faces 30 years in prison for alleged ICO tax evasion pump-and-dump which the official said made over $23 million.
In June 2021 McAfee diedAfter committing suicide while in custody in Spain, McAfee’s widow continues to question official details of her husband’s death. And has begun a campaign to pressure the Spanish government to release her husband’s body so that an autopsy can be performed independently.
In June, Reuters reported that McAfee’s body was still in a Spanish morgue.
