At the height of his career, Jérôme Boateng was once asked which women were important in his life. He had just been voted Footballer of the Year. November 2016. Even then he preferred to talk about the glasses that are sold under his name than about private matters. But he named three women: his grandmother, his mother Martina – and Sherin S., the mother of his twin daughters. She, said Boateng, played a big role for him, she was a role model for their children. He has a lot of respect for this woman.
