Jeremy Renner back home: how bad he really is | entertainment

What a start to the new year! “Avengers” superhero Jeremy Renner (51) had a life-threatening accident on the morning of January 1: He was run over by a massive snow plow. Now he should be back at home with his loved ones.

Renner was responding to a Twitter post from the series Mayor of Kingstown, which he co-stars in and whose second season premiered in the US on Sunday. “I was very excited to see episode 201 at home with my family,” the action hero tweeted that he was on the mend.

Numerous fans have already congratulated Renner and wished him all the best for a full recovery. But until then it is still a long way.

Jeremy Renner is now out of danger, but his injuries are said to be much worse than expected. Spokespersons for the Hollywood star initially said he suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries, downplaying the horror accident.

Now, however, friends of the action hero have revealed: He is said to have “almost bled to death” and “almost died” while waiting for help. “It’s a lot worse than anyone knows!”

“Jeremy is very aware of the fact that he almost died out there,” a friend told “ RadarOnline“.

The source continued, “The right side of Jeremy’s chest was crushed and his torso collapsed. He also had a severe head wound that was bleeding and a leg injury.”

According to insiders, it could be up to two years before he’s back to his old self – if he even makes a 100 percent recovery.

“Jeremy was in severe pain and had difficulty breathing,” the friend continued. “He knew it was very bad and that he might not have survived.” It is said that the damage to Jeremy’s chest was so extensive that parts had to be surgically reconstructed, according to the source.

Speaking of the Hawkeye superhero’s current condition, he said: “He has had two surgeries so far and will likely need more on his leg in the coming weeks. Doctors don’t want to do the surgeries all at once to give the body time to heal naturally.”

Renner’s mother, Cearley, and his sister, Kym, have been by his side since the accident. His friend gives the fans some hope: “Jeremy is fine. He’s pretty stoned and has tubes all over his body to help him breathe, but he’s a fighter and determined to get through it.”

It is not known to what extent he is receiving medical care at home.
