Jenkofen near Landshut: A village church full of art treasures of European standing – Bavaria

Very few buildings and art treasures survive intact over the centuries. Conflagrations, soldiers, robbers, these are the names of the enemies of all cultural assets. So it’s a blessing that the Jenkofen branch village escaped unscathed, even though it was a close call at times. The greatest treasure of the town near Landshut is a late Gothic St. Mary’s Church, which sits squat in the center of the town. With the power of its three ships, the church survived many war hardships.
