James Franco has spoken openly about his sex addiction. Other colleagues of the actor have also been open about it in the past.

The actor James Franco (43) has in an interview with Jess Cagle (56) from the radio station SiriusXM openly talked about his sex addiction. The attention of women he was with was “such a strong drug” that he was “addicted for 20 years”. Other stars have also spoken openly about their hypersexuality in the past.

Russell Brand

Presenter and actor Russell Brand (46) led a dissolute life for a long time – this also included many sexual adventures. As reported by the Daily Mail, Brand describes in his autobiography that he had been treated in a clinic for 30 days for his sex addiction in 2005. Before that, he had regular sex with ten women and numerous one-night stands. “It is very difficult for us men to have a healthy attitude towards sex. I grew up as the son of a single mother in a small town. There wasn’t much to do there but get drunk and watch porn. Everything I could about sex know, I learned from porn, “he said in 2014 in an interview with “Bild am Sonntag”.

David Duchovny

“I went to a sex addiction treatment facility voluntarily,” said actor David Duchovny (61) in 2008 through his lawyer in a statement proclaim. “I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children while we deal with this situation as a family.” The “X-Files” star was married to actress Téa Leoni (55) from 1997 to 2014. The two actors separated briefly after his confession, but reunited. The final separation did not take place until 2011, and in 2014 they are said to have secretly divorced.

Colin Farrell

Acting colleague Colin Farrell (45) is said to have gone to rehab several times due to alcohol and drug use as well as sex addiction, including in 2005 after a sex tape of him with a model was leaked. “Of course, sex addiction is real,” he said in 2015 the Irish “Independent”. “There are substances that flow through the brain during sex that are similar to what happens when you ingest a substance. It lets you escape from your emotional and psychological self and gives you a kick that can become addicting.”

Kanye West

Rapper Kanye West (44) spoke openly in 2019 about his porn and sex addiction in the past. Since he was five years old, sex films and slippery pictures have determined his life, he has even become dependent on them, he explained in an interview with radio host Zane Lowe. A decisive moment in his childhood was “the starting point of an absolute porn addiction,” said West: “When I was five years old, I found an edition of ‘Playboy’ that my father had left lying around. Since then, almost every decision has been made that I’ve met in my life so far. ” The addiction even increased after his mother Donda passed away in 2007: “Some people drown their grief in drugs. I drowned them in my sex addiction.” He believed that sex was even a tougher drug for him than opium and heroin could have been. How did he finally get away from it? “I thank God for saving me physically, mentally and spiritually.”

Lamar Odom

The ex-husband of Khloé Kardashian (37), the former professional basketball player Lamar Odom (42), regrets his infidelity during the time together with the reality star (2009-2016). That reported the “People” magazine, which quotes some passages from his biography, in 2019. In the book, the 42-year-old also talks about his addiction to sex and cocaine. He slept with over 2,000 women in his life, including many strippers, as “People” writes. After Kardashian had exposed her husband’s sins, he was “shocked and exposed”. “I wanted to take it back, but you can’t. I wanted to hide it, but this disease inside me was just hard to hide. I had a problem,” said the ex-NBA star.
