Ismaning: Municipality awards grants for artists – District of Munich

In April, the Ismaning Municipality’s studio program starts in the former moated castle. From now on, visual artists living in Germany can apply to the municipality for a residency of three to six months. The selected artists receive a scholarship and can live and work during this time in the rooms of the moated castle, which is idyllically situated in the Isar meadows between Ismaning and Munich.

During their stay, the artists should be able to develop artistically in a concentrated and quiet atmosphere surrounded by nature away from the center of their lives. The scholarships are granted for the general promotion of artistic training and to enrich cultural life in Ismaning, according to the town hall. The artists pay a monthly usage fee of around 1,650 euros for their stay. The municipality of Ismaning grants them a monthly grant of 2,050 euros for the duration of their stay.

Applications are only possible online at www.kallmann-museum.de/werbung. The studio program is sponsored by the municipality of Ismaning and artistically supervised by the Kallmann Museum.
