Isarvorstadt: Man robs gas station in Kapuzinerstraße – Munich

For the second time within a short period of time, an Aral gas station in the Isar suburb was attacked on Wednesday. The robber entered the salesroom on Kapuzinerstraße at around 8 p.m., first took some items from the refrigerated section and put them in a plastic bag, the police said. He then went to the cash register and demanded cash from the two employees. He showed the employees a handgun, but did not draw it and did not point it at the two men.

One of the employees gave the perpetrator several hundred euros in cash. The man then fled in the direction of Roecklplatz. An immediately initiated search was unsuccessful – although more than 30 police patrols took part, including police officers who had previously been used to prevent marches against the corona measures in the city center.

The gas station on Kapuzinerstrasse had only recently been robbed, on January 5, also on a Wednesday at around the same time. At that time, too, the unknown perpetrator stole several hundred euros. The responsible commissariat is now checking whether it could be the same perpetrator, said a police spokeswoman. It is also being investigated whether there are connections with other raids on gas stations in the city area. However, no information is available on this yet.

The perpetrator is described as 1.80 to 1.90 meters tall, with a rather slender build and brown eyes. He spoke German with an unknown accent. He was dressed in a black hooded jacket, a light-colored sweater, white cap, light-colored trousers and black sneakers. He had a plastic bag with an unknown inscription and large handles. Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 089/2 91 00.
