Iran protests: Two teenage girls (16, 17) beaten to death by police | politics

The bloodshed in Iran continues relentlessly. According to Iran Human Rights Watch, more than 130 people have been killed by police during the protests after the Tehran regime ordered a “violent crackdown.” Thousands of other protesters were injured. Another current report causes horror: Two teenage girls have been brutally killed by the “moral police” because they wanted to live freely.

The victims are said to be YouTuber Sarina Esmailzadeh (16) and Nika Shahkarmi (17). According to initial information, Esmailzadeh was so badly injured in the head with batons that she died. Her family searched for Sarina for ten days before authorities finally released her body.

Nika Shahkarmi also disappeared for several days due to the confusing situation in Tehran; she is said to have left the house on September 20 with a towel (against police tear gas) and a bottle of water, her aunt told BBC Farsi.

In what is believed to be her last telephone conversation with a friend, she stated that she was being followed by “security agents”. That same night, reports the “Sun”, her Telegram and Instagram accounts were deleted and her phone was no longer available. Her family spent days searching jails, hospitals and the morgue for the girl – until a body matching her description was discovered in a morgue.

The sight: a shock! According to reports, Nika suffered a fractured skull; her nose was smashed. The cause of death was given as a “fall from a height” – an account that relatives do not believe. Her body is said to be visible on the asphalt in photos; her water bottle and cell phone “arranged for the photo” next to it.

Shahkarmi’s grieving family also took to the streets during the recent protests; a Twitter video shows Nika’s mother calling into the camera: “Today was your birthday, my darling! Today I cry: Congratulations on your martyrdom!”

The new news from Iran has also dismayed many Iranian exiles. Amir (16) from Tehran, who has lived in Germany since 2020, told BILD: “It could also be me. It hurt me so much when I saw the faces of Nika and Sarina. A few friends of mine are still missing. I don’t know if they are even alive or in prison, they are all teenagers. It’s the worst time, the schoolgirls are still out on the streets without headscarves. They urgently need international support. The Islamic regime will kill everyone, I am very worried.”

The protests against the Iranian horror regime have been going on for weeks – just like the merciless violence against the demonstrators. According to local media reports, security forces used massive violence against students at Sharif University (Tehran) on Monday night.

The trigger for the protests: The brutal death of Masha Amini. The mullahs’ so-called morality police beat the 22-year-old Iranian into a coma, and she died in hospital on September 16. She had not worn her headscarf as required by strict mullah laws. Since the woman’s death, thousands have been demonstrating across the country against the government’s repressive course and the headscarf requirement.

In view of the brutal action taken by Iranian security forces against the demonstrators, US President Joe Biden (79) has promised sanctions against those responsible. Later this week, the US government will announce punitive measures against those who use violence against peaceful demonstrators, Biden announced in a written statement on Monday (local time).

The statement said, “We will continue to hold Iranian officials accountable and support Iranians’ right to protest freely.” Biden said he was “extremely concerned” by reports of the increasingly violent crackdown on peaceful protesters in Iran.

After Amini’s death, the US government had already imposed sanctions on Iran’s morality police and senior security officials.
