iPhone 15 with 40 GB in the Telekom network for 29.90 euros – tariff hit?

Klarmobil is cleaning up its tariffs – and one offer sounds interesting. We’ll reveal here whether the bundle of all-network flat rate and iPhone 15 is really a bargain, or whether there are hidden costs lurking somewhere.

The iPhone 15 quickly established itself as a bestseller due to its improved camera, longer battery life and innovative features compared to the previous model: According to Statista, it sold over ten million units in the first few weeks after its release. At Klarmobil, the bestseller bundle consisting of the iPhone 15 and all-network flat rate on the Deutsche Telekom network has now also received an update. For 29.99 euros per month, you now get 40 gigabytes of data volume (instead of 32) and the Apple smartphone. Is the deal worth it?

Is the Klarmobil deal worth the money?

Telekom’s D-network is popular with mobile phone customers. According to the technology magazine Chip.de, the well-developed network is considered stable and has a large coverage area, with dead spots being comparatively rare. The tariff adjustment at Klarmobil is therefore extremely interesting: 29.99 euros per month, ten euros less than the already cheap original tariff, is an extremely fair price for an all-net flat rate in the Deutsche Telekom network. As a bonus, there is now a whopping 40 gigabytes of data volume instead of the usual 32 gigabytes. The only downside: 50 Mbit/s as a download speed is quite manageable, other providers offer up to 300 Mbit/s – but at this price, this is definitely something that can be overlooked.

The deal details at a glance:

  • 5G internet flat rate with 40 gigabytes of data volume
  • Telephone and SMS flat rate included
  • Monthly price: 29.99 euros (instead of 39.99 euros)
  • Connection fee: 19.99 euros
  • Minimum contract period: 24 months
  • iPhone15: one-time price of 149.99 euros

How does the offer work? We get out the calculator.

The total cost over the two-year contract period is 889.74 euros. If we subtract the currently cheapest network price for the iPhone 15 of 759.95 euros, 129.79 euros remain for the tariff. This corresponds to an effective monthly basic fee of 5.40 euros. For a 40 gigabyte tariff in the Telekom network, this is an absolutely fair price. For comparison: the Telekom tariff MagentaMobil L with 40 gigabytes currently costs 59.95 euros – so you can really save money with the Klarmobil bundle.

Alternative from Vodafone: iPhone 15 in the GigaMobil M tariff

Vodafone offers the iPhone 15 together with the GigaMobil M tariff. This tariff includes 50 gigabytes of data volume, which is ten gigabytes more than Klarmobil’s offer.

The bundle at Vodafone looks like this:

  • GigaMobil M with 50 gigabytes of 5G data volume
  • Telephone and SMS flat rate included
  • Price: 61.49 euros per month
  • Connection fee: zero euros
  • Shipping costs: 6.99 euros
  • Minimum contract period: 24 months
  • iPhone 15: one euro
  • Bonus: 200 Euro welcome bonus (8.50 Euro monthly credit on the tariff)
