A coach crashed on a federal highway in Upper Bavaria, many people were injured. Numerous emergency services are on site on the federal highway 305 between Inzell (Traunstein district) and Weißbach (Berchtesgadener Land district), said a police spokesman on Saturday morning.
60 people were in the double-decker bus, 40 to 50 of them were injured in the accident. Some only slightly, others more difficult, precise information cannot be given at the moment, said the police spokesman. There are no dead. The rescue work is still ongoing, the injured are being taken to nearby hospitals.
The bus left the road around 7:30 a.m. and fell down the embankment, causing the vehicle to roll over, the police said. According to initial findings, no other vehicles were involved in the accident, but experts are on site and are investigating the course of the accident. The bus driver will also be questioned. Until these investigations are completed, the bus will not be removed. The B305 is blocked, there is a diversion.
