the World class violinist Lisa Batiashvili was born in Tbilisi in 1979. In 1991 her parents fled to Germany with her to avoid the impending civil war. Her world career began with second place at the Sibelius Competition in 1995. She has since played with all the world’s top orchestras and has performed in the world’s largest halls.
