Jan Bayer, 51, welcomes you on the 18th floor of the Springer high-rise in Berlin. On the Axel Springer Board of Management, he is responsible for the News Media division, i.e. for all journalistic business of image and world up to Business Insider and Politico. A tricky job, since American financial investor KKR has been speculating about the future of the division at Springer, especially about the world. Bayer, who is considered the strong man behind CEO Mathias Döpfner, explains how things will continue.
