With 2030 looming as the likely date for the decommissioning of the ISS, NASA hopes to crash it into the uninhabited area of Point Nemo in the Pacific Ocean, according to the Daily Star. A NASA budget report put January 2031 as a possible launch date for the ISS, which will crash about 3,000 miles off the coast of eastern New Zealand.

At the European level, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain and Great Britain are part of the ISS.
