She showed the beautiful side of life on Instagram, took her followers on trips, presented them with the latest fashion trends and beauty tricks. But now Farah El Kadhi’s fans have to deal with some terrible news: the influencer is dead. She died earlier this week in Malta at the age of just 36.
Farah El Kadhi had been on holiday there with friends, having previously been to Mykonos and Italy, as her account shows. On Monday morning, the social media celebrity was found lifeless on a yacht in the harbour, according to the “Times of Malta”. She was immediately taken to Mater Dei Hospital in Msida, but was only pronounced dead there.
No external injuries were found, and third-party liability is currently being ruled out. According to the report, it is assumed that Farah El Kadhi died of heart failure. An autopsy will determine the exact cause of death. As her friend, the Tunisian presenter Meriem Debbagh, wrote on Instagram, Farah El Kadhi died in her sleep.
“My heart is broken and my sadness is immeasurable. I feel terrible and am unable to find words to express my pain. Life without my friend is no longer the same,” writes the TV star, adding to the deceased: “You touched so many lives with your love and kindness and I am grateful that I was lucky enough to have you as a friend since we were children.”
Many of the influencer’s fans have also expressed their sadness on her profile. More than a million people follow Farah El Kadhi on Instagram alone. The comments under her latest posts are full of words of dismay and condolences.
