Watch the video: After the earthquake in Indonesia: a five-year-old rescued from the rubble.

STORY: The rescue of five-year-old Azka captured on video released by the Indonesian Fire Department. He is among the survivors of Monday’s devastating earthquake in the West Java region. Three days later, Azka was pulled out of the rubble of a house – dehydrated but apparently unharmed. The authorities recently spoke of more than 270 dead in the affected area, including many children. Many people were still missing, including here in the city of Cianjur, home of Azka and his family. “Only two other people in the house survived. Azka’s grandfather and his younger brother,” says the rescued boy’s cousin. A total of five family members were in the building. The 5.6 magnitude tremor hit Indonesia’s most populous province and caused significant damage in the area south of the capital Jakarta. At least one village was completely destroyed by a landslide, authorities said. According to the information, around 6,000 rescue workers were recently deployed. Aftershocks made rescue efforts difficult.
